On Friday, November 4, 2016, Starbaby Enterprises' will present the first annual "Angels of East Africa"Gala at City Winery in New York City. The purpose of the event is to create awareness and raise funds for the "Angels of East Africa," a Children's Village located in South Sudan for orphans and underprivileged children.
FUNDRAISING GOAL: $350,000
Â
The Angels of East Africa Gala will donate all funds raised at the event towards projects for the Childrens' Villages in  South Sudan and Ethiopia.
These funds will feed and school 300-350 orphans and  fund 3 specific projects that AOEA is currently working on. More information about these amazing endeavors are detailed below, your small donation could make a huge difference in an orphan's life.
Each of these projects are intended to provide the children with the skillset, education, materials, and equipment to live a sustainable lifestyle in East Africa full of opportunities.
Â
The farm (about 2 1/2 hours south of our Nimule/South Sudan orphanage) needs continued development along with the support they give to women and young ladies who suffered greatly in and around the area of our farm which used to be territory ran by the LRA. The farm provides food for the orphans as well as provides jobs and training for the orphans.
The building project in Ethiopia will create incredible opportunities for our orphaned children. This is done through supplying housing  and assisting with the many "Street Walkers,"  who are young children with no parents that walk the streets at night. The building will be a conference center, complete with a restaurant, coffee house, hotel, entertainment center, and a training residence for our youth. This will encourage a sense of community and be used for a host of  meetings and events. The building location is right next to one of the largest universities in Ethiopia which will have a massive impact on the Adama/Nazret community.
For this event we have been fortunate enough to collaborate with other affiliate groups whose mission is to help the Children of Africa. The amazing organization, Books for Africa (https://www.booksforafrica.org/) has come on board for this project in efforts to help us raise funds not only for the various projects listed above, but to also send a large storage container of books and art supplies to the orphanage. One of our fundraising goals is raise the capitol for the shipping of such a large supply in which Books for Africa has agreed to sponsor a portion of it. By working with Books For Africa we are able to provide these children with further tools to educate themselves and sustain their lifestyle beyond what we provide for them.

"My name is John. During 2004 when I was only 2 months old, the Lords Resistance Army came and attacked my family during the night. They killed my father, brothers and sisters and burnt down our house. My life was saved and so I was brought to the Children's Village where Sam Childers took me in. I am so thankful to pastor Sam for helping me."

"My name is Akoo Catherine. The rebels came to my village when I was 5 years old and killed my parents and brother so I was left alone to cry. But God took care of me and sent loving people to find me and take me to my home at the Children's Village. I believe God has chosen our lovely father Sam Childers to take care of all of us. May God bless Sam and those who support him, because God says, "Blessed are those who care for orphans and widows."

"My name is Aweye. I live at the Children's Village and I want to tell you what happened to me during the earlier years of my life. My family settled in an area away from the civil war, but one day the Lord's Resistance Army came and attacked us during the night. They burned our houses down and ordered my brother to beat me with a stick. They ended up killing my brother, but I was rescued and taken to the hospital the next day. When I was healed, Sam Childers took care of me at the Children's Village. I'd like to give thanks to Sam for his hard work and everyone else who supports the Children's Village."
